Designing CTS Pathways for Students in Community Based Activities

The new CTS programs of study, particularly in the REC, HSS, HCS, and CCS occupational areas, provide many possibilities for students to achieve credits for learning in community-based activities. In this session we will look at what you can do to help your students achieve credits for the learning and the experiences they are gaining from community activities such as 4H, coaching, officiating, recreational leadership…the possibilities are endless!
Considerations for pathways planning includes: student interest, teacher expertise, community connections, resource availability, prerequisites, and credentials.
